Dr. Davena Limitless Longshore is the Executive Director of Research, Operations, and Development for the Cummings Foundation for Behavioral Health. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology specializing in military, police, and criminal psychology. Her master’s degrees are in both Psychology and Computer Information Systems. She is currently pursuing her third master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Her most current research centers around the efficacy of wellness programs in law enforcement; however, her previous research was on the improvement of the intimate relationships of individuals with borderline personality disorder.
Dr. Longshore has over 20 years of experience in leadership, business development, information systems, and counseling within the United States and the Bahamas. She has previous experience working as a critical incident responder in a level 4 double-max security setting, where she specialized in suicidality and psychoticism and as a competency examiner for the court system. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Clinical Psychology, the Society for Criminal and Police Psychology, the Society for Prescribing Psychology, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
In private practice, Dr. Longshore believes in the Transtheoretical Model and integrates concepts and strategies from multiple therapeutic approaches to achieve therapeutic goals. She has experience working with children, teenagers, individual adults, and couples to reduce clinical symptoms related to depressive, mood, neurodevelopmental, neurocognitive, psychotic, anxiety-related, trauma-related, and personality disorders. Dr. Longshore is also explicitly trained in neuropsychological assessment, trauma-informed care, intimate partner violence treatment, and neurolinguistic programming.
