The Power of Giving

Recognizing, welcoming and valuing the strengths of all stakeholders, we build lasting relationships and grow stronger together.

The Cummings Foundation for Behavioral Health

The Pride of Support

The Cummings Foundation for Behavioral Health is proud of the work our grantees do in advancing behavioral healthcare through research, education and service. We are not currently taking donations, so we encourage people who want to support these causes to give directly to our grantees. People who would like to assist with our mission or offer a philanthropic partnership otherwise are welcomed to contact us.

LGBTQIA+ Support

Dr. Nicholas Cummings believed in individual choice, including the right of a person to accept and embrace their sexual orientation and gender identity, and to choose goals for their psychotherapy care practiced in a professionally appropriate manner. The Cummings Foundation for Behavioral Health continues to support the LGBTQIA+ community through providing an inclusive work culture and advocating for mental health services tailored to support their intricate needs.
The foundation continues to support the LGBTQ+ community through our work and giving.

Open Letter to the LGBTQIA+ Community

During his lifetime, Dr. Cummings strongly condemned all forms of the unethical, dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy. The Cummings family apologizes for statements made by Dr. Cummings that have been maliciously distorted to support anti-gay and homophobic agendas. Our letter provides more information.

Join Us in Supporting the LGBTQIA+ Community!

Research shows members of the LGBTQIA+ community are impacted by depression and suicide at a disproportionate rate. Join us in supporting organizations who specifically meet the mental health needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
